Revolving Doors are looking to speak to women with experience of remand and/or recall, as well as prolific shoplifting, which will inform the design of a gender specific approach to working with women in the justice system.
Women will be asked about their recent experience of being recalled to or remanded in prison and will be asked to discuss what useful practices and tools would better address women’s needs and make future recalls less likely.
Specifically, taking part in the research will involve:
- An online focus group or interview.
- Answering questions about your license conditions, and how this influenced behaviour and decision-making.
- Sharing views on support received in custody and the community.
- An opportunity to have your say so that better support is available for women.
Taking part is voluntary and confidential.
