PAS has now published an ‘Early Releases’ Info Sheet, which aims to explain the changes introduced by the Sentencing Act 2026.
These changes come into force on 2nd September 2026 and mean that eligible prisoners due to be released either at the 40% or halfway point of their sentence will now be released at the one-third point of their sentence.
