PAS TO HOST EXPERT PANEL DISCUSSION ON ACQUIRED BRAIN INJURY ACROSS FEMALE PRISON ESTATE

We are delighted to announce our next Panel Discussion, which will take as its focus the recent report, Acquired Brain Injury: An Invisible Consequence of Domestic Abuse for Women in The Justice System. Report authors, Dr Hope Kent and Professor Stan Gilmour, will be joined by Dr Annmarie Burns, Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist working with brain injury charity, Brainkind, to discuss the impact of ABI across the female prison estate: 

‘… almost all women in contact with the justice system have experienced domestic abuse, and Acquired Brain Injury is a significant consequence – affecting the majority of justice-involved women …’

Refreshments will be served before and after the discussion.
