OF INDIVIDUALS ELECTRONICALLY TAGGED RISES 2% TO 28,687"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>New figures by the Ministry of Justice show that the number of individuals assigned with an electronic monitoring device has risen to 28,687 &#8211; an increase of 2% from 28,111 as at 31&nbsp;December&nbsp;2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be broken down as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Post-release<\/strong>\u00a0orders were the largest group with 10,601 individuals (37% of the caseload).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Court bail<\/strong>\u00a0orders made up the second-largest proportion with 9,674 individuals (34% of the caseload) assigned with an electronic monitoring device.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Immigration<\/strong>\u00a0orders were the third-largest group with 4,392 individuals (15% of the caseload).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Court sentences<\/strong>\u00a0(community orders and suspended sentence orders) were the fourth-largest group with 3,922 individuals (14% of the caseload).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Specials<\/strong>\u00a0orders were the fifth-largest group with 98 individuals (less than 0.5% of the caseload).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Location (GPS)&nbsp;devices accounted for 57% (16,264) of individuals assigned with a device, Curfew devices accounted for 31% (8,781) and Alcohol Monitoring&nbsp;devices for 18% (5,080).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For further information,&nbsp;<a
