This ensures that the letter will not be opened by prison staff. Rule 39 is the Prison Rule which relates to confidential legal correspondence. It can only be used for letters directed to the courts or legal advisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please Note:<\/strong><br><strong>PAS is unable to advise on any matter which another solicitor is already dealing with.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If a prisoner has an active case with PAS, we can only discuss it with others if the prisoner has signed an authority form granting permission.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PAS runs a Letters Clinic for written requests from prisoners for advice and information.
